Letter #7

Dear Mr. President,
Congratulations. It’s nice to know we’re on the same page. Yesterday, you said :

“We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things.”
No kidding.

“Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America — they will be met.”
I certainly hope so.

Let’s also hope that you are as good a president as you are a media celebrity. You may have managed to secure the adoration of the masses by appearing on Access Hollywood and listing your 7 Marriage Tips in Women’s Health, but remember what your real job is.

Now get to work.

Good luck,
Emily

P.S. As much as I’m not convinced that you’re the next JFK, I am convinced that your wife is the next Jackie-O. Please support her in continuing to make remarkable style choices.
